Sad word of passing of Blake Martin

By Gale Burris Cowan, Adair County Judge Executive

As I scrolled through Facebook last night and this morning it is evident what kind of person Blake was. He was a friend to EVERYONE!

He was always helping someone. I still can’t wrap my head around it and even though I know we are not supposed to, I still want to ask God Why? Why someone so young and full of life? Why leave those babies without a father?

But I, along with the rest of our close knit community, have to trust in Him and His plan. We have to step up and be there for the family. I changed Blake’s diapers about as much as I did my own kids and I can’t imagine life without him here, but if we look to God and let him comfort us He will see us through.

Prayers for Blake’s family and friends.
