It's worth noting that the tobacco markets opened on Dec. 2nd in 1941.Consequently, tobacco warehouses in Horse Cave (4), Greensburg (2),Harrodsburg (5), and Lebanon (4) accounted for a total of 1 1/6 pages ofadvertising space in the Nov. 19th edition. And (from the Nov. 12, 1941 edition) this very night, November 17th,playing at the Rialto Theatre in Columbia: "Sergeant York," billed as"the year's greatest picture."
