Darrell Lainhart, 77, Adair County, KY (1943-2020)

Darrell Lainhart, of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at the age of 77.

He was a former Kentucky State Trooper, retired from the Square D company. Darrell loved antique cars and going to car shows. He attended the Mt. Calvary Community Church in Dunnville.



Survivors include his wife, Lydia Morris Emerson Lainhart; daughters, Dorothy (Ronnie) George of Adair County and Connie (Vernon) Pittman of Liberty; sons, George Emerson and James (Angie) Emerson, both of Liberty; 16 grandchildren; several grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Smokey.

Born June 14, 1943, in Richmond, KY, he was a son of the late Luther and Ester Freeman Lainhart. He was preceded in death by his son, Lewis Emerson.

Due to COVID restrictions the funeral service will be private for immediate family members only. Burial will be held at South Fork Cemetery.

McKinney-Brown Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
