Drive-Thru at Milltown will hopefully return in 2021

Response to Letter: Will there be a Milltown Christmas display?

By Ann Smith

THANK YOU so much for asking about the drive-thru. We really appreciate your interest.

Journey to the Manger, the drive-thru to Bethlehem, held in the Portland/Milltown community of Adair County, will NOT be held this year. 2019 was the first time in 3 years that the congregations of Pickett's Chapel and Tarter's Chapel had presented Journey to the Manger, and while we humbly enjoy spreading Jesus' birth through live scenes, it is quite an undertaking of personnel. Due to Covid and social distancing, this year we would have the extra care and safety of each of our biblical characters to consider.

Hopefully, Journey to the Manger will return within the next couple of years, and again, thank you for your interest. It warms our hearts to know it is remembered.
