Richard (Dick) Morris, 86, Columbia, KY (1934-2020) Richard "Dick" Morris of Columbia passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020, at his residence. He was 86 years old. Private funeral services will be held at 3pmCT on Friday, November 27, 2020, at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Columbia Cemetery. The services will be live-streamed on Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home facebook page. Born August 15, 1934, in Cane Valley, KY he was the son of the late Willie Joe and Oreta Keltner Morris and husband of the late Lorene May Chapman Morris. Mr. Morris was a member of the Coyle Cumberland Presbyterian Church and veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He was a Plumbing Superintendent for Addie S. French, Green Mechanical and Apollo Engineering. He was also a member of the Columbia Masonic Lodge #96 and VFW Post #6097. Survivors include a son David Morris of Columbia; a sister Rebecca Fay Grider of Glasgow; two nephews Richard Phelps of Columbia and Robert Phelps of Wisconsin; a niece Mary Jo Hayes of Michigan. Also survived by a host of area relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife he is preceded in death by a niece Jane Phelps.
