Lindsey Wilson trailed in the early stages before taking a 10-9 lead at the 15-minute mark. The Blue Raiders wouldn't trail again in the half, pushing their lead to as many as 10 points at 28-18 with just over seven minutes to play in the half.

Three minutes later, Freed-Hardeman trimmed the LWC lead to one point at 32-31, before LWC took a 42-38 lead into the halftime locker room.
