William Purd Bryant, 88, Columbia, KY (1932-2020)

William Purd Bryant of Columbia passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at the Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, KY. He was 88 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2pmCT on Friday, November 13, 2020 at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Jimmy Dale Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Tarters Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 4pmCT until 8pmCT, and will continue on Friday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.

For the health and respect of the family, please follow all rules for social distancing and everyone attending will be required to wear a mask or face covering.



Born April 13, 1932, in Adair County he was the son of the late Purdom Monroe Bryant and Nellie Powell Bryant Bailey and husband of the late Louvenia Rodgers Bryant. He was also preceded in death by a daughter Alesha Morrison.

Mr. Bryant was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church and enjoyed riding horses and 4-wheelers.

Survivors include three children Ron Bryant (Debbie), Garry Bryant (Linda) and Deborah Bryant (Steve Gadberry) all of Columbia; twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; two brothers Charles and Jessie Bailey both of Indiana and several other friends and relatives.

Pallbearers will be Shane, Garry, Justin and Tyler Bryant and Elliott and Will Morrison.
