Kudos on outstanding Silent City Tours again this year By Wendy Butler Burt The Adair County Genealogical Society outdid itself in this pandemic year by presenting an excellent on-line Silent City Tour. We spectators might have missed personal interactions during the tour, but the presentations still tied us together as a community. Has thought ever been given to taking at least part of the tour out of the city into some of the many small cemeteries in the county? I know of many graves within a short hike from our house -- everything from the grave of a Union Soldier whose unit saw a lot of Civil War action to a lovely little cemetery deep in the woods near Crocus Creek that contains a tombstone engraved "Gone but not Forgotten."
