School is back in on the Red/Blue system

Adair County School Superintendent, Dr. Pamela Stephens, made a one-call to students, faculty and staff Sunday evening, October 11, 2020 to remind everyone that school starts this morning on the same Red/Blue System as was being done before fall break.

The schedule is Monday/Tuesday face to face, Wednesday all virtual for all students, Thursday/Friday face to face. (Alphabetical tags follow).

Dr. Stephens said she has been in conversations with the health department and that no disrespect is meant, either to Governor Beshear nor the Health Department, as school resumes in person.

The decision to proceed in person was made based on the fact that the numbers of School District students and employees who have the virus are well below Adair County's non-school population numbers.

Blue = Monday/Thursday - Students last name beginning with letters A - I
Red = Tuesday/Friday - Students last name J – Z

In homes where there are students with different last names, the schedule will be set on the oldest child’s last name.

On Wednesdays ALL students will be using Virtual Classes and buildings will be deep cleaned.

The Board believes returning to the face to face Red/Blue system will be the best way to educate students. She asked for prayers for all as they go forward.
