Beverly McConnell Rountree, 53

Beverly McConnell Rountree, 53, Louisville, KY, died of a sudden illness Saturday, October 2, 2004, in Russell Springs.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 6, at 11:00 a.m., at Bailey-Turner-Winkenhofer Heritage Funeral Chapel, Bowling Green, with burial to following in Bowling Green Gardens.


She was a Warren County native and the daughter of J.G. "Mac" and Frances Lowe McConnell of Bowling Green.

She was the wife of the late Joseph Crittendon Rountree, who died in 1994.

Mrs. Rountree was a physical therapist assistant with the American Rehab Group, a graduate of Jefferson Community College, and a faithful member of the Okolona Church of Christ.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Rev. William Marion Rountree.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by the following:
  • A daughter: Heather N. Rountree, Louisville, KY
  • A son: Christ Rountree and his wife, Heather, Louisville, KY
  • A sister: Cynthia Smith and her husband, Tom, Charlotte, NC
  • A brother: Rick McConnell, Bowling Green, KY
  • Mother-in-law: Dorothy Rountree, Bowling Green, KY
  • Sister in law: Angie Irvin, Bowling Green, KY
  • Brother in law: Donald Rountree, Louisville, KY
  • Two grandchildren: Amber Manley and Myles Rountree
  • Nine nieces and nephews: Allison, Kari, Brandon, Allison, Michael, Wrica, Sarah, Wes, and Scott
  • And many loving friends
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 5, 2004, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Bailey-Turner-Winkenhofer Heritage Funeral Chapel, Bowling Green, KY.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Chilren's Hospital.
