Mayor Hardwick resigns effective October 17, 2004 At the regular meeting of the Columbia City Council, Mayor Curtis Hardwick tendered his letter of resignation, effective October 17, 2004, according to information received from Columbia City Councilman Joe Moore, who was queried following an anonymous tip posted on this site a few minutes ago. Moore said that the Mayor is resigning to take a job with the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He said that he understands that the Council will name a successor at a future meeting.
