Tiger Health Clinic has new doctor, new location on CU campus By Ariel C. Emberton Campbellsville, KY - Taylor Regional Hospital's Tiger Health Clinic on Campbellsville University's campus has moved its location and has a new physician. The clinic is open to Campbellsville University students, faculty, staff and coaches and also to the public. Dr. Griffin Tucker is the new head physician at Taylor Regional Hospital's Tiger Health Clinic on Campbellsville University's campus. The clinic is located in the Women's Village J at 219 Meader St., Campbellsville. The Tiger Health Clinic is a full-service, on campus health center focused on providing convenient and high-quality care for Campbellsville University students, faculty, staff, coaches and the community. Their overall mission is to promote the health, wellness and safety among CU students and the community. The clinic is open from 8amET to 4:30pmET Monday through Friday and is closed from NoonET to 1pmET for lunch. Thursdays from 1pmET to 4:30pmET are nurse visits only. The staff at the clinic provides a variety of health services including treatment of acute issues, simple wound/laceration closer/suturing and employment, school and sports physicals. In-house testing at the clinic includes influenza, COVID-19, strep, mono, pregnancy/STDs, blood sugar, urinalysis and wound cover and sensitivity. Common conditions and illnesses treated at the Tiger Health Clinic include abdominal pain/acid reflux, acne/impetigo, allergies (seasonal and reactions), asthma/chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchitis, cough/cold/flu, ear pain/infection, eye pain/pink eye, headache, headlice/scabies/bed bugs, insect bites/stings, mononucleosis, nausea/vomiting (stomach virus), rashes (eczema, poison ivy, hives, psoriasis, ringworm, shingles), sore throat/strep throat, upper respiratory infection, urinary tract infection and STDs. The clinic accepts cash, debit/credit cards and most insurance plans. Their providers can send a summary of your visit to your primary care provider with a patient's permission. The clinic employees recommend patients contact their insurance company prior to their visit to verify coverage for the service they are seeking. This will also help prepare for any out-of-pocket costs a patient might be responsible for at the time of the service. Payment responsibility may vary based on insurance coverage. The following items are needed prior to a visit: copy of insurance, proof of ID and valid form of payment at time of service. Tucker received his degree from the University of Pikeville's Kentucky School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2016. He completed his residency in family medicine at Methodist Hospital in Henderson, Ky. in 2019 where he served as chief resident. His hobbies include running, dog training, working out, swimming, hiking and reading. He also enjoys traveling and meeting new people. Tucker speaks some German and enjoys speaking to groups.
