Joyce Ervin Young, 78, Greensburg, KY (1942-2020) Ms. Joyce Ervin Young of Greensburg passed away on Friday, August 28, 2020 at TJ Samson Hospital. She was 78 years old. There will be a private family gathering for Ms. Joyce Young on Sunday with cremation to follow. Ms. Joyce Ervin Young of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Lesker Carl Ervin and Cora Lee Dixon Ervin, was born on Wednesday, August 26, 1942 in Green County. She had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, and was a retired factory worker. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law: Donna and Mark Faulkner, Lisa and John Underwood, and Jennifer Buckner all of Greensburg; two sons and daughters-in-law: Troy and Donna Young, Tracy and Melissa Young all of Greensburg; six grandchildren: Nicole Faulkner, Randy Buckner, Erin Arnett and her husband Ryan, Michael Young and his wife Joy, Hunter Jones, Trevor Young and his wife Marsha; nine great-grandchildren: Dalton Young, Devin Ray, Faith Ray, Remi Ray, Lola Jones, Bryer Arnett, Jordan Jones, Jamison Coomer, Jayla Coomer; one brother: Harold Ervin of Greensburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends Ms. Young was also preceded in death by her former husband: Wendall Young; a son: Gary Lane Young; a grandson: Jeff Ray; a great-granddaughter: Cheyenne Ray; five brothers: Elwood Ervin, Carl Ervin, Garnett Ervin, Jay Ervin, David Ervin; three sisters: Maerene McMahan, Hortence Ervin, and Lorene Ervin. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Green Hill Activity Fund or Little Barren Cemetery, which can be made at the funeral home.
