Arlene Grider, 89, Russell County, KY (1931-2020) Arlene Grider, age 89, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Thursday, September 03 2020 at the home of her daughter. She was a retired teacher from the Russell County School System, she began her teaching career in several one room schools and spent most of her career teaching third grade at Salem Elementary School. Arlene was a loving mother, devoted to her family, friends, faith, and a charter member of Royville Friendship Church. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, September 06 2020 at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY. Visitation will be 10:30 PM Sunday, September 06 2020 at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY. Interment will be in Russell Springs Cemetery, 1516 Lakeway Drive, Russell Springs, KY. Officiating: Bro. Charles Edwards and Bro. Willard Bryant. She was born on Tuesday, July 28 1931, in Russell Springs, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Audra Antle Holt Ovis Holt, who preceded her in death. Survivors also include: 1 Daughter, Renee Yanders, spouse Greg, of Nancy KY 2 Sons: Randy Grider, of Russell Springs KY, and Barry Grider, of Russell Springs KY 2 Sisters: Uldine Loy, of Russell Springs KY and Phyllis Hamblin, of Russell Springs KY 2 Brothers: Larry Holt, of Russell Springs KY and Stephen Holt, of Simpsonville KY In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Winston Grider, a sister, Jeanette Rogers.
