James Vaughn, 65, Burkesville, KY (1955-2020)

James Vaughn of Burkesville passed away on Monday, August 17, 2020 at Cumberland County Hospital. He was 65 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 3pmCT on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Gary Cash officiating. Burial will follow in the Beaty Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 10amCT to 3pmCT on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Ballout & Stotts Funeral Home.



James was born on February 19, 1955 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Frank Vaughn and Versie Young Vaughn. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Weldon Vaughn, Gary Vaughn, Eddie Vaughn and one sister, Judy Mecheloff.

Survivors Include:
  • Four Brothers- Richard(Hazel)Vaughn and David Vaughn all of Burkesville, KY, Gene(Linda)Vaughn and Stanley(Sherry)Vaughn all of Indiana
  • Three Sisters- Shirley White and Nancy Vaughn both of Burkesville, KY and Ann Schof of Somerset, KY
  • Two Daughters- Vonda Thompson of Bowling Green, KY and Amanda Vaughn of Burkesville, KY
  • 2 Sons- Dustin Barnes and Jason Smith both of Burkesville, KY
  • Special Niece- Tracey Vibbert of Burkesville, KY
  • 9 Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
