Joe Franklin Harris, 83, Edmonton, KY (1936-2020) Joe Franklin Harris of Edmonton passed away on August 14, 2020. He was 83 years old. Graveside services for Joe Harris will be held at 2pmCT on Monday, August 17, 2020, at Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11amCT until 1:30pmCT on Monday prior to the service. Joe Franklin Harris age 83 of Edmonton was born October 25, 1936 in the Pink Ridge Community of Metcalfe County. He departed this life Friday, August 14, 2020 at Glenview Health Care in Glasgow. Joe was the son of the late Lemmie Joe Harris and Elsie Davis Harris. Joe was a lifelong farmer and retired from Dana Corporation after 25 years of service. Joe loved gardening and was of the Baptist faith. On July 25, 1959 Joe married the love of his life Shirley Scott. Together they raised four children. Debbie (Jessie) Harper, Beverly (Kerry) Nunn, Greg Harris and Scotty (Gail) Harris. They had seven grandchildren. Amanda Harper Duvall, Adam (Kari) Harper, Chasity (Dustin) Wilson, Chase (Amanda) Nunn, Joseph (Heather) Harris, Dylan (Jerrica) Harris and Ryan Harris. Eight great grandchildren. Lindsey, Cassie, Jackson, Karlee, Aiden, Riley, Raegan, Rhett and Emery. Joe is also survived by two brothers. Dwight Harris and Richard (Sandra) Harris. Besides his parents Joe was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Scott Harris on January 1, 2020. One brother Dewayne Harris and a sister Amy Beth Stephens.
