CPD: Heroin, wanton endangerment arrest

By Officer Adam Cravens, PIO
Columbia Police Department

On Saturday, August 8, 2020, officers with the Columbia Police Department observed a subject behind the wheel of a vehicle at Hudson Street FiveStar whom they were aware had a suspended operators license.

Upon establishing contact, it was confirmed that subject also had warrants from Adair and Russell Counties. Officers also observed scales and suspected heroin within party's vehicle.

As subject was being taken into custody, he was asked if he had anything on his person that would poke or stab officers and he replied "No." However, an uncapped syringe was located on subjects person upon search.

Patrick Rowe, 33, of Columbia is facing multiple charges including operating on a suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia, wanton endangerment of Police Officer 2nd degree, and possession of heroin; a class D felony.

Officer Ethan Pike was the arresting Officer. He was assisted on scene by Officer Evan Burton and Trooper Billy Begley.
