David (Slug) Jones, 86, Jamestown, KY (1934-2020)

David (Slug) Jones of Jamestown passed away Friday, July 31, 2020, at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, KY. He was 86 years old.

A private funeral service will be held at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, Jamestown,, KY. Interment will follow at Jamestown Cemetery in Jamestown, KY.

Walk through visitation is requested on Monday, August 3, 2020, from 5pmCT to 7pmCT at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N. Main St., Jamestown, KY. We ask that everyone please wear a face mask.



David was born in Jamestown, KY on May 11, 1934, a son of the late Minnie (Dunbar) and Clarence Jones.

He was a retired Carpenter.

He is survived by:
  • A daughter, Vickie Brockman
  • A son, Rickie Jones
  • Three sisters, Betty Sue Norene, JoNell Jones, and Judy Jones
  • Six Grandchidlren,
  • Two Great Grandchildren
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Reba(Bolin) Jones, a sister, Anna Joyce Loy, and three brothers Charles, Jack, and Frank Lewis Jones.
