Sylvia McLaughlin Pruitt, 75, Casey County, KY

Sylvia Irene McLaughlin Pruitt, of Yosemite, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. She was 75.

Born on July 29, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Herman McLaughlin and Margaret Bradshaw Hatter. Sylvia was a caretaker. She loved animals and being outdoors.



Sylvia is survived by a daughter, Loria Ann Pruitt of Yosemite; a son, John Carlos (Melissa) Pruitt of Yosemite; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Other survivors include two brothers, Sherman (Louise) Hatter of Yosemite and David Wayne (Suzy) McLaughlin of Martinsville, Indiana; and a lifelong friend, Molly Brown of Campbellsville.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Gail Pruitt; a son, Scott Wayne Pruitt; and two brothers, Garrett Hatter and Donald Hatter.

There will be no services at this time.

Cremation rites were honored by McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
