Josie Alice Adkins, 75, Green County, KY (1945-2020)

Josie Alice Adkins was born February 26, 1945 in Green County, KY to the late Raymond Adkins and Lucille Elmore Adkins. She departed this life Monday, July 20, 2020, having attained the age of seventy-five years, four months and twenty-four days.

Visitation will be after 10amCT Saturday, July 25, 2020 until the funeral hour at 2pm at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home. Minister will be Bro. Robert Adkins. Interment will be in Adkins Family Cemetery, Green County, KY. Pallbearers: Chester Davisson, Jerry Davisson, Charlie Davisson, Lenward Jefferson, Jr, Robert Adkins, Ricky Adkins, and Clifton Sullivan.

Due to state mandate masks will be required for the visitation and funeral service.



She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Meade County, KY. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers: James, Jerry and William Adkins.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Julia and Lenward Jefferson, Jr. of Macon, North Carolina, three sons and daughters-in-law: Chester and Simone Davisson of Brandenburg, Jerry and Becky Davisson of Wetumpka, Alabama and Charlie and Alice Davisson of Campbellsville, two brothers and sisters-in-law: Robert and Kindra Adkins and Ricky and Linda Adkins of Greensburg, two sisters and one brother-in-law: Lydia and Jr. Simpson of Edmonton and Margaret Dawson of Greensburg, two grandchildren: Arabella and Finley Davisson, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to Hosparus or The Multiple Schlerosis Association of America. These can be made at the funeral home.

Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
