Regina Vincent Myers, 81, dies same day as husband

Regina Vincent Myers of 417 Adair Avenue, Columbia, died less than twelve hours after the passing of her husband, Willard. She was taken to Westlake Regional Hopsital emergency room where she died at 6:45 p.m. on Friday, June 18, 2004. Her husband had died at 7:05 that morning. Joint funeral services will be held at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home on Sunday, June 20, 2004 at 3 p.m.

Regina Myers was the daughter of the late Thomas R. and Laura Riddle Vincent. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and a homemaker.

Mrs. Myers is survived by:
  • Son and daughter-in-law: Danny and Beverly Myers of Columbia
  • Son and daughter-in-law: Barry L. and Carol Salato Myers of Campbellsville
  • Brother: Doyle Vincent of Albany
  • Sisters: Maxine Carr of Florida and Opal Brown of Indiana
  • Her foster Mother: Eliza Allen of Columbia
  • Grandchildren: Chad Myers, Josh Myers, Shannon Feese and Kelly Robertson
  • Seven great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a foster brother, Neil Allen.

Officiating at the funeral will be Rev. William R. Davenport and Bro. Steven Neel.

Interment will follow in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Visitation begins at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2004.

Memorials are suggested to Trinity United Methodist Church Building Fund and may be left at the funeral home.
