Willard C. Myers, 82, WWII Veteran

Services will be held at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home Sunday, June 20, 2004, at 3 p.m. for Willard C. Myers of Columbia who passed away Friday, June 18, 2004, at 7:05 a.m. at Westlake Regional Hospital, Columbia, KY.

He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, a Veteran of World War II, retired from Louisville Chair Company and the Kentucky State Highway Department.

He was the son of the late Crit and Edna Ann Anderson Myers of Cumberland County.

His wife, Regina Vincent Myers, of Columbia, died less than twelve hours after his passing.Mr. Myers is survived by the following:
  • Son and daughter-in-law: Danny and Beverly Myers of Columbia
  • Son and daughter-in-law: Barry L. and Carol Salato Myers of Campbellsville
  • Brother: Hill Myers of Dunkirk, Indiana
  • Sisters: Madge Melton of Columbia; Ermon Radford of Burkesville and Jewell Fullhart of Muncie, Indiana
  • Grandchildren: Chad Myers, Josh Myers, Shannon Feese and Kelly Robertson
  • Seven great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Myers was preceded in death by two sisters: Bertha Radford and Lura Radford.

Officiating at the funeral will be Rev. William R. Davenport and Bro. Steven Neel.

Interment will follow in Haven Hill Cemetery with Military Honors by the local VFW Post 6097.

Visitation begins at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2004.

Memorials are suggested to Trinity United Methodist Church Building Fund and may be left at the funeral home.
