Martha Jeston Neat, Age 70

Martha Jeston Neat, age 70 years, of 980 Neat Hollow Road, Columbia, KY, passed away Monday, May 31, 2004 at 11:23 p.m. at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY.

She was the daughter of the late George Walton and Lula Mae Dixon Bottoms.

Survived by:
  • her husband, Earl E. Neat of Columbia, KY
  • Two Daughters: Helen Louise Harmon and her husband Ronnie Lee of Columbia, KY; and Sheila Joyce VanBuskirk and her husband Robert Jr. of Elizabethtown, KY
  • One son: Lary Wayne Neat and his wife Gaylon of Campbellsville, KY.
Preceded in death by one daughter, Donna Sue Neat.

Also survived by:
  • One brother: George Bottoms, of Albany, In
  • Three half-brothers: John Blackburn of Columbus, IN; Charles Blackburn of Crawfordsville, IN, and Jody Blackburn of KY.
  • Two sisters: Luria Jenkins of Boggstown, IN; Joyce Walls of Rockford, IL
  • Two half-sisters: Opal Roberts of Indianapolis, IN and Elnora Neat of Dunville, KY
  • 10 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends
Mrs. Neat was a member of Caldwell Separate Baptist Church, and had worked at the Fruit of the Loom plant in Campbellsville.

The funeral service will be Thursday, June 3, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. CDT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Interment in New Hope Cemetery
