Columbia driver dies as result of one-car accident Saturday afternoon Brenda S. McCoy, 45, Columbia, KY, died as a result of a one-car accident which occurred at 5:45 p.m. 9.5 miles south of Columbia on KY 1952. Brenda S. McCoy was driving a 1998 Toyota RAV4 northbound when she ran off the roadway and overcorrected, causing her vehicle to overturn several times. According to Kentucky State Police Trooper Toby Young, who worked the accident, McCoy was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected. Alcohol was involved, TRP Young reported. McCoy was flown by Stat Flight to the University of Louisville Hospital where she was pronounced dead, at 10:30 p.m., by the Jefferson County Coroners Office.
