Hoots Memorial Scholarship open until 30 June 2020

The application deadline for the Walter "Gene" and Joyce Hoots Memorial Scholarship has been extended through June 30th due to all the delays and changes from the COVID-19 pandemic.

This annual scholarship is presented in memory of Walter Eugene "Gene" and Joyce Loy Hoots. Gene and Joyce were friends to many and community volunteers. The recipient must be a current student or alumni of Adair County High School, pursuing secondary education in a vocational field.

Requirements follow:



1. Applicant has earned a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA). (Based on a 4.0 system)

2. Applicant has demonstrated community service.

3. Submit application, validation of GPA, essay, acknowledgement form, and one letter of support (not completed by a relative). All should be submitted together. The scholarship is non-renewable and an individual may only receive the award once. For more details, contact Pamela Hoots, 270.250.7010.
