City of Columbia contest - calling for beautiful pictures

By Tiffany Collins, City of Columbia

We all see the beautiful things in our town everyday. Don't we? It could be a flower coming through a sidewalk, the rain falling, dew on the grass, a child playing, or an elderly person on a bench.

"When you go through our town, we see so many things that make us smile," said Mayor Pamela Hoots. "This has been a trying year for all of us; with so much sadness in our world. We want people to reflect on the goodness in our community and each other."

We are fortunate to live here. The City of Columbia will be having a Facebook contest (if you don't Facebook, you can mail and/or email a picture), seeing the beauty in our town.

The winner and second place winner will receive gift certificate(s) to a local business of their choice. The contest is being sponsored by Mayor Pam.

Share your beauty of our town, your family, your home. Email: tcollins@cityofcolumbiaky.com or mail to: 116 Campbellsville Street, Columbia.

"We love Columbia," said Mayor Pam. We want each of you to be an Ambassador for beauty in our town.

The city will take entries until July 6, 2020. Entries will be judged independently.
