Fred Raffety, 83, Campbellsville, KY (1936-2020) Fred Raffety of Campbellsville passed away on Tuesday June 16, 2020. He was 83 years old. The funeral service will be held at 1pmET on Friday, June 19, 2020 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, officiated by Dr. James E. Jones and Rev. Arnold Sprowles. Burial will follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. A walk through visitation will be conducted from 10:30amET to 12:30pmET on Friday, June 19, 2020 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, following the Social Distancing Guidelines. Fred Raffety of Campbellsville, son of the late Alvin Raffety and Lettie Colvin Raffety, was born November 22, 1936 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 4:44 P.M., Tuesday June 16, 2020 in Louisville. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for some seventy years. Fred was a retired production supervisor for Parker Kalon in Campbellsville. He united in marriage to Catheline Newcomb September 15, 1956. Besides his wife, Catheline Raffety of Campbellsville, he is survived by two daughters and one son: Glenda Colvin and husband, Lynn of Campbellsville, Larry Raffety and wife, Sherry of Finley and Kim Deener and husband, Jeff of Campbellsville; five granddaughters: Leanna Cundiff and husband, Shawn, Amy Burton and husband, Mike, Jessie Newton and husband, J.D. and Jennifer Sprowles and husband, Scott of Campbellsville and Christy Higdon and husband, Nick of Leitchfield; six great-grandchildren: Evan Cundiff, Chase Burton, Reese Burton, Bradley Newton, Kenzie Sprowles and Jeffrey Sprowles and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by three brothers: William Lawrence Raffety November 27, 2007, Edwin C. Raffety November 23, 1974 and Harold Raffety in infancy. Expressions of sympathy are requested to be donations to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Building Fund. Donations may be made through Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
