Lizzie Mae Harmon Veatch, 75, Adair County, KY (1945-2020) Lizzie Mae Harmon Veatch, 75, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Monday, June 15, 2020 at 9:37pmCT at the home of a daughter in Columbia. Funeral service will be Friday, June 19, 2020 at 1pmCT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Buckles officiating. Burial in Columbia Cemetery. Visitation after 5pmCT Thursday. The Healthy at Work Guidelines issued by the State will be followed Casket Bearers: James McAllister, David McAllister, Chris Brown, Keith Gilbert, O'Dell Wooten, Brandon Coffey. She was born January 3, 1945, in Adair County, to the late Willie and Gladys Corbin Harmon and retired from Summit Manor Nursing Home after 32 years of employment. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Dalton McAllister, three brothers, Gavin, Clarence and James Harmon and four sisters, Mary Moss, Anna Lou Shirley, Marie Loy and Betty Shirley. Survivors include: Her husband - Joe Veatch of Columbia Three sons - Selby (Sandra) Shirley of Green County, Nathan (Anita) Scruggs and Jeff (Elizabeth) Scruggs all of Columbia Two daughters - Brenda (Gary) Ballenger and Lisa Hughes all of Columbia Two step-children - Matthew Veatch and Debbie (David) Bunch all of Russell Springs One sister - Rosella Bennett of Russell County 21 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements This story was posted on 2020-06-16 22:26:11
