Margie Ann Lay, 65, Taylor County, KY Margie Ann Lay of Campbellsville passed from this life on Tuesday, May 19, at her home. There will be a funeral service to honor her on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 12noonCT/1pmET at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville St, Liberty, KY. Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery in Casey County. She was the daughter of the late James Welby and Mary Frances (Bryant) Propes, she was 65 years, 8 months, and 3 days of age. Mrs. Lay had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a Southern Baptist. She retired from the Taylor County Board of Education as an adult educator. Mrs. Lay had a big heart and loved her family dearly. She enjoyed the challenge of working a puzzle or relaxing on her tablet or phone, but if the weather was right, she was usually found near the water trying to catch a mess of fish. She leaves to mourn her passing: Four children: Jamie Ray Lay and wife Pam of Morganfield, Ky, Stacie Lay and fiance' Ryan West of Campbellsville, Ashley Lay of Campbellsville, and David Brandon Lay of Somerset, Six grandchildren: Benjamin Alexander Lay, Nelson Dewayne, Logan Cole, Spencer Propes, Elijah Beard, and Ethan Lay, Brothers and sisters: James Russell Propes of Dunnville, Carol Owens of Liberty, Sharon Lee of Lawrenceburg, and Neva Woods and husband Scott of Lawrenceburg, and a host of other family and friends.
