Larry Russell Downey, 73, Adair County, KY (1947-2020)

Larry Russell Downey, 73, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Friday, May 15, 2020 at 7:38amCT at his home.

In accordance with Governor Beshear's recommendation and in compliance with the CDC, the service will be private with burial in Columbia Cemetery. Condolences may be made at Larry's obituary on our website (www.grissommartin.com) and we will see the family receives it.



He was born April 3, 1947, in Adair County, to the late Richard and Elva Rogers Downey, a member of Milltown United Methodist Church and a former truck driver.

Survivors include:

His wife - Celia Miller Downey of Columbia

One daughter - Daphne Judd and her husband Tim of Summersville

Two sisters - Connie Burress of Milltown and Karen Roy of Richmond

Several other relatives and friends.

The family requests no flowers be sent but a donation be made to Milltown United Methodist Church which can be left or mailed to the funeral home.

Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
