Gracie Vera Hoover Green, 92, Adair County, KY Gracie Vera Hoover Green, 92, of Columbia, KY died Friday, May 15, 2020 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY. Due to Covid-19 virus and in accordance with Governor Beshear's orders and the CDC, there will be a private service on Monday at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the McClister Cemetery. Bro. Brent Piatt will be officiating. Born in Adair County she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Golden Nokes Hoover and wife of the late Sanford Russell Green. Mrs. Green was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting and pampering her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include four daughters Diane Gibson (Raymond) of Bolin Brook, IL, Jeanette Grant (Danny) of Columbia, Doris Temes (Bob) of Campbellsville, KY and Wanda Roots (Doug) of Columbia; 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other friends and family also survive. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son-in-law Kenny Cowan, a great-granddaughter Nola Grace Gibson and three sisters Dimple Caldwell, Pauline Morgan and Irene Williams.
