Dixie Milby Marcum, 102, Green County, KY (1917-May 2, 2020)

Dixie Milby Marcum, age 102 years, six months and twenty-seven days, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2020 due to Covid-19 complications. Services will be conducted privately with Bro. Jerry Noe officiating, burial will follow in the Green County Memory Gardens.


Born October 6, 1917, she was the last surviving child of the late Nears C. Milby and Sarah Lee Madden Milby. She is preceded in death by seven brothers and six sisters.

Survivors include two children William C. Marcum (Lisa) and Jane Pettit (Greg) all of Lousiville, Kentucky. Five grandchildren and one great-grandchild, several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Gideon Bible Fund and these can be made at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home.

A special thanks to the caring staff at Louisville East for their care during the past 13 months and special thanks to Wess Morrison for caring for his grandmother prior to her going to the nursing home.
