Annex open tonight for shelter from storms

At 2:46pmCT on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, The National Weather Service in Louisville, KY, issued the following Hazardous Weather Outlook for Columbia and surrounding areas:
A cold front will move through the area tonight and into the overnight hours, bringing chances of strong to severe thunderstorms to the area. The strongest storms will be capable of producing damaging winds, hail, heavy rainfall, and frequent lightning. A brief, isolated tornado can also not be ruled out.
Mike Keltner, Director of Adair Co. Emergency Management, sends word that the Adair County Courthouse Annex basement will be open for temporary storm sheltering tonight throughout the storms.

All same household groups or single persons must remain within the social distancing recommendations of 6+ feet between them. Mike says that with the size of the annex basement and the typical persons seeking shelter, the new guidelines should pose no problems.
