Order for Taylor County residents: limit shopping to one By Ronnie Dooley, Director, Taylor County Emergency Management The following order has just been released in Taylor County. A new Executive Order is now in effect for Taylor County limiting the number of people in families and groups that shop to one. Judge Executive Barry Smith signed an order effective immediately to limit the number shopping for families and groups to one. The only exclusions are minors where daycare is not available and the elderly or disabled which may have an additional person for their assistance. In addition, all retail stores opened for essential business must develop polices to ensure at least six foot social distancing is maintained. The COVID-19 virus has invaded our community thus prompting this Executive Order. People are strongly encouraged to not be out unless absolutely necessary.
