Letter: Millers of Fairplay Dave Rosenbaum writes: Thanks CM for printing Mike Watson's piece on grocery prices in 1956. Twenty five pounds of flour for $1.55 at Kroger on the square. For some strange reason I recall that Dad sold two brands of flour at Fairplay. The biggest seller was Sunrise Flour which sold for $1.65 for twenty five pounds. Also sold Robin Hood Flour for $2.10 for the twenty five pound bag.Comments re: Shopping for groceries in Columbia, 1956 This story was posted on 2020-03-31 06:23:52
