LWC Women's Bowling at MSC Championships on Thursday By Christopher Coombs Bowling Green, KY - The Lindsey Wilson women's bowling team wrapped up the first day of competition at the Mid-South Conference Championships with the singles and doubles championships on Thursday at Southern Lanes. Madelin Zubricky was the top Blue Raider finisher in the singles portion of the competition. She posted a 24th-place finish, racking up 904 total pins, including a high of 222 during her fourth of five games. Anna Etherington finished just behind in 26th place individually with 896 pins. Samantha Endicott finished in 32nd place individually with 876 pins. Etherington and Madeline Cain captured Lindsey Wilson's highest finish in the doubles portion of the competition. The duo finished in 18th place and combined for 1,707 total pins. Endicott and Theresa Rickertsen took 19th place with 1,695 pins as Zubricky and Jacqueline Oliphant finished in 20th with 1,691 pins. Robin Ford and Haven Crawford finished in 42nd place during doubles. Rickertsen, Cain, Oliphant, Ford and Crawford also competed in the individual portion of the championship finishing in 52nd, 55th, 62nd, 86th and 92nd, respectively. Pikeville's (Ky.) Emily Tull and Lauren Piotrowski finished first and second in the individual portion of the competition with 1,104 and 1,091 pins, respectively. Lauren Logsdon of Union (Ky.) took third with 1,013 pins. Tull and Nicole Gilbert of Pikeville finished first in doubles with 2,055 total pins. The Blue Raiders return to action on Friday as the team bracket competition begins at 8:30amCT. Eleventh-seeded Lindsey Wilson opens day two of competition against sixth-seeded Bethel (TN).
