David Allen McKinney, 60, Green Co., KY (1959-2020)

Mr. David Allen McKinney of Green County passed away on February 9, 2020. He was 60 years old.

The funeral services for Mr. David Allen McKinney will be conducted at 11amCT on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY, with Bro. Twyman Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the McKinney Family Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 4pmCT until 8pmCT on Tuesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, and after 7amCT on Wednesday until the time of the funeral service.


Mr. David Allen McKinney of Green County, Kentucky, son of the late Samuel David "Sam" McKinney and Vada McQueary Taulman, was born on Wednesday, March 23, 1959 in Green County and departed this life on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. He was 60 years, 10 months, and 15 days of age.

He was store owner and operator of Sam's Dog House and David's BBQ for several years.

Survived by his wife of 31 years, Juanita Burns McKinney of Green County, having united in marriage on March 4, 1988.

Other survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Cathy and Josh Cross of Columbia, and Darla and Todd Brown of Greensburg; six grandchildren: Tyler Burton of Paducah, Kaleb Bowers of Texas, Lillian Brown, Kevin Brown both of Greensburg, Chloe Cross and Elijah Cross both of Columbia; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Donna and Jack Jewell of Greensburg, Tinkie and Tony Bloyd of Campbellsville, and Jamie Gilbert of Michigan; a brother: Kenny Wayne Perkins of Indiana; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

David was also preceded in death by a daughter: Karla Burton; and a sister and brother-in-law: Carolyn and Lowell Hickerson.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the family burial expenses, which can be made at the funeral home.
