The Bonner Scholar Program, in conjunction with the Center for Civic Engagement at Lindsey Wilson College, will be hosting a virtual conference and discussion on issues of housing insecurity and homelessness, and are inviting any interested parties to participate.

On February 7, 2020, from 11amCT to 3pm in the Clark Reading Room of the Katie Murrell Library, there will be a virtual conference and a facilitated discussion.

The discussion will be loosely based on the 2019 movie The Public, and notes will be available to summarize the plot and major themes of the movie if attendees are not familiar with it.

It is sure to be an interesting and enlightening virtual conference and discussion regarding issues of housing insecurity! We encourage people who are passionate about housing insecurity to attend these events. We also want people to attend who might not know much about this issue. We hope to open a discussion that will lead to an awareness of housing insecurity on a local, national, and global level.

While attendees are encouraged to stay for the entirety of the virtual conference on February 7th, they are welcome to come and go as needed. During the conference, attendees are encouraged to bring their lunches, and we will also be providing coffee and tea. If anyone has questions about the event, contact Natalie Vickous, Director of Civic Engagement and Student Leadership, at 270-384-8065 or vickousn@lindsey.edu.
