LWC Basketball continues MSC play against Cumberland tonight

The Lindsey Wilson men and women's basketball programs continue Mid-South Conference play tonight in Lebanon, Tennessee when they face Cumberland (TN) at the Dallas Floyd Phoenix Arena.

Tip-off for the No. 15-ranked women (12-3, 1-1 MSC) is slated for 6pmCT and will be followed by the No. 19-ranked men (12-4, 1-1 MSC) at 8pmCT.



The Lindsey Wilson women are coming off their first MSC win of the season as they took down Life (Ga.) on Saturday by a final score of 86-71. Reagan Turner led all scorers with 24 points as J'Nayah Hall added a double-double, finishing with 16 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.

Cumberland comes into the meeting with a 5-8 record and a 0-3 mark in the MSC. Mackenzie Trouten is the only player averaging double-digit scoring for the Phoenix at 10.8 points per game while Britany Miller averages a team-high 7.3 boards a game.

The meeting is the 37th all-time between the two programs as LWC holds a 21-15 overall record and a 6-10 mark when on the road.

The Lindsey Wilson men are coming off a tough loss to (RV) Life. The Blue Raiders carried a slight 28-26 lead into halftime but were outscored 46-29 across the final 20 minutes as they fell 72-57 at the Hawks Nest.

Two Blue Raiders scored double-digit points as Reece Brooks led the way with 17 while Avery Edwards narrowly missed out on a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds.

Cumberland comes into the matchup with a 9-6 record and a 1-2 mark in the MSC. Jalen Duke leads the Phoenix with an average of 17.7 points per game as DeMari Davis has 8.1 assists.

The meeting is the 47th all-time between the two programs as LWC holds a 34-12 overall record and a 12-8 mark when on the road.

The women are set to tip-off at 6 p.m CT followed by the men at 8pmCT from the Dallas Floyd Phoenix Arena.
