You can search Military Records in upcoming class at ACPL

Announcing the next Saturday Session in Genealogy: Saturday, January 25, 2020, 11am-1pmCT, at the Adair County Public Library.

Fold3, one of best on-line military research sites is now available through the Adair Public Library. An introductory class well introduce researchers to the site, the records available, tip and hints for use.



Records on Fold3 cover time from the Revolutionary War up to recent conflicts, with emphasis on the Revolution, War of 1812, Mexican War, Civil War, Indian Wars, Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and modern conflicts.

Records vary from war to war, but for earlier conflicts, records may include Service Records, Pension Indexes, limited maps, photos, etc.

Due to the number of computers available, registration must be limited to the first twenty (20) participants. Call or come by the library to put your name on the list. You are encouraged to bring your own lap top or device on which to work, or utilize the library's desktops.
