Lavonda Lee Whited, 74, Liberty, KY (1945-2020) Lavonda Whited of Liberty passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2020, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was 74 years old. The funeral service will be held at 2pmET on Saturday, January 4, 2020, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville St, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Gary Vest and Bro. Chris Hatter officiating. Burial will follow in Whited Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6pmET until 9pmET on Friday, January 3, 2020, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Born on October 28, 1945, in Rome, GA, she was the daughter of the late Glenn Louis and Laura Elaine Miller Richardson. Lavonda was a retired supervisor for the Cabinet for Family and Children. Lavonda attended Bruce's Chapel United Methodist Church, where she was Bible School director for many years. Lavonda was the Co-Chairman for the Apple Festival Committee for over 35 years. She enjoyed arts and crafts, traveling, and fishing. She is survived by her husband, whom she wed on May 14, 1970, Freddie Whited of Liberty; a daughter, Sedita Von Whited of Liberty; brother-in-law, Roger Shirel Whited of Junction City; special friends, Bill Hair, Deva Hair, and Misty Hair Wilson; she is also survived by a host of other friends and family members. Pallbearers will be Edgar Shirel Whited, Dylan Chase Hoskins, Johnathan Shirel Whited, Chris Hatter, Austin Hatter, and Johnny Rodgers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Hair and Delmer Shreve. Memorial contributions may be made to one's favorite Church. Arrangements are entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. An online guestbook is available at www.mckinneybrown.com.
