Ronnie L. Pruitt, 70, Greensburg, KY (1949-2019)

Mr. Ronnie Lee Pruitt of Greensburg passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019. He was 70 years old.

The funeral services for Mr. Pruitt will be conducted at 11amCT on Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at the Greensburg Baptist Church, N. Main St., Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Bro. Blake Jessie, Bro. Todd Young, Bro. Mike Akridge, and Bro. Ty Clenney will be officiating.

Visitation is requested from 4pmCT until 7pmCT on Monday at the Greensburg Baptist Church, and after 7amCT on Tuesday until time of the funeral service.


Mr. Ronnie Lee Pruitt of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Aubrey Pruitt and Beulah Givens Pruitt, was born on Wednesday, January 12, 1949 in Green County and departed this life on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg. He was 70 years, 11 months, and 16 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church since 1975, where he served as custodian for 33 years. He started working at the age of 15 for the former Henry Durham & Son Hardware Store. He was owner and operator of Ron's Hardware from 1997 until 2019. Mr. Pruitt was also a member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54 F&AM.

Survived by his wife of 52 years, Patsy Bagby Pruitt of Greensburg, having united in marriage on November 11, 1967.

Other survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Kim and Charlie Allen of Summersville; two grandchildren: BayLee Allen and Carter Allen both of Summersville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Donna and Dave Walker of Louisville, Pauline and Duane Caple of South Carolina; Larry and Connie Bagby of Indiana, and Steve and Kim Bagby of Shepherdsville; a niece and nephew: Angie and Pete Gott of Knob Lick; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Pruitt was also preceded in death by a brother, William Allen Pruitt, in 2001.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Bethlehem Cemetery Fund, Greensburg Baptist Church Building Fund, or the Green Hill Rehab & Care Center Activity Fund, which can be made at the church or the funeral home.
