Honoring WWII veterans

By Joe Hare
Post Commander VFW Post 6097

On Friday, 13 December 2019, members of VFW Post 6097 here in Columbia delivered a Christmas fruit basket and a blanket to 9 shut-in/WWII Veterans in Adair and Russell Counties.

We are aware that there are others and hope to honor more of you as time goes on. If you are or have a loved one that is a WWII Veteran, we would appreciate if you would call our post and leave us some information. The number is 270-384-3988.
