Chamber of Commerce sends 'Thank You' for 2019 Parade

By Ellen Zornes

On behalf of the Columbia Adair County Chamber of Commerce, we wish to thank everyone who had a part in making our 29th annual Christmas Parade such a memorable and exciting event. The floats and other entries were beautiful as always with Santa and Mrs. Claus being a big hit with young and old.

The weather was perfect and all the lights on the floats and other entries made the parade seem simply enchanting. And the Children's Carnival at LWC with its many activities and the Rotary Breakfast were appreciated and well attended.

We appreciate the help of so many people and organizations that it always takes to make the parade a reality.

A parade is a gigantic undertaking...
from law enforcement and emergency services...
to local groups selling hot chocolate, etc...
to those who drive the vehicles for our Mr. and Misses and Grand Marshals...
to those making the beautiful floats and decorations...
to those riding those floats and vehicles...
to our Chamber volunteers who are behind the scenes organizing the parade entries...
our anonymous judges...
Morgan Smith Industries for providing hot chocolate and needed restroom facilities...
our Industrial Park industries of CIRCOR, Morgan Smith Industries, and Franklin Motors for allowing us the use of their parking lots to line up and stage the parade entries...
our beautiful downtown and our wonderful stores that offer us so many goods...
to our media sources for advertising the events, doing live Facebook videoing for those who cannot attend and taking beautiful pictures for us all to enjoy...
to our whole community who look forward to the parade each year.

A lot of time and work go into bringing our community its long tradition of a wonderful Christmas Parade. We appreciate each and every one of you!

So from all of us to all of you, we wish you a Very Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year!
