Mavis Dye Price, 86, Columbia, KY (1933-2019) Mrs. Price was a member of the Columbia Christian Church and a retired School Teacher serving Adair County Schools for over 30 years. Mavis Dye Price of Columbia passed away on Friday, December 6, 2019, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY. She was 86 years old. Funeral services will be held at 11amCT on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Rick Shelton officiating. Burial will be in the Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 5:30pmCT until 8pmCT at the funeral home, and will continue Tuesday morning until time for the service. Born August 21, 1933 in Casey County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Arnold J. and Zimmer Turner Dye and wife of the late Thomas Price. Mrs. Price was a member of the Columbia Christian Church and a retired School Teacher serving Adair County Schools for over 30 years. Survivors include her son Jim Price of Columbia and two grandchildren Abbygail and Alana Price of North Carolina. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
