Adair Co. Grand Jury returns indictments Thu 21 Nov 2019

Indictments brought against 5 individuals from Columbia and Louisville, KY, on charges including trafficking, theft, possession, and assault.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Adair County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Columbia, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Thursday, 21 November 2019:


  • Kelvin F. Bowers, Baker St., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00214. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 2nd+ offense, 2g+ methamphetamine. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 2nd degree. Count 3 - Wanton endangerment, 1st degree. Count 4 - Persistent felony offender, 2nd degree. Bail set at $25,000 cash.

  • Tyrone Antonio Smith, Magazine St., Louisville, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00215. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Theft by unlawful taking/disposition, $500 or more but under $10,000. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Bail set at $5,000 cash/SP.

  • Alexandria C. Foster, Burkesville St., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00216. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Bail set at $1,500 cash w/MCR.

  • Margaret R. Zimmerman, Weed Sparksville Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00217. Charged with 31 counts. Count 1 - Criminal possession of a forged instrument, 2nd degree. Count 2 - Criminal possession of a forged instrument, 2nd degree. Count 3 - Criminal possession of a forged instrument, 2nd degree. Count 4 - Criminal possession of a forged instrument, 2nd degree. Count 5 - Criminal possession of a forged instrument, 2nd degree. Count 6 - Criminal possession of a forged instrument, 2nd degree. Count 7 - Criminal possession of a forged instrument, 2nd degree. Count 8 - Criminal possession of a forged instrument, 2nd degree. Count 9 - Criminal possession of a forged instrument, 2nd degree. Count 10 - Criminal possession of a forged instrument, 2nd degree.   • Margaret R. Zimmerman, Weed Sparksville Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00218. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Theft by unlawful taking/disposition, firearm.

  • Derek W. Brown, Russell Springs Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00219. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Assault, 1st degree, domestic violence. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Bail set at $50,000 cash.
