Virginia Ann (Loy) Nix, 75, Adair Co. native (1944-2019) Virginia Ann (Loy) Nix of Bridgeview, IL passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 3:41 pm CST at her home in Bridgeview, IL. She was 75 years old. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at 11amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. Services will be conducted by Thomas Hill. Interment will follow in Loy Cemetery at Fairplay. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, on Monday, December 2, 2019 at the funeral home. She was born on August 28, 1944 in Adair County, KY. She was a proud graduate of ACHS class of 1961 at the age of 16. She attended Draughons Junior Business College in Nashville, TN. Virginia was retired from Pepsi Co. in Bridgeview, IL. She was a native of Adair County, KY, but lived in suburban Chicago at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Gilliam & Liza Alice (Bragg) Loy. She was also preceded in death by one son, Brian Scott Nix, on September 27, 1972, two brothers, Young Loy and Martin Russell Loy, and one sister Ruth (Loy) Moore. She is survived by her husband Harold Dean Nix; one daughter Candace (Chato) Prado of Chicago, IL; two grandchildren Brandan and Aly Prado of Chicago, IL; one great-granddaughter: Amelia Prado of Chicago, IL; four sisters Almarine Morgan of Columbia, KY, Flora Claywell of Columbia, KY, Emily Gravitt of Chicago, IL and Earline (Thomas) Hill of Riceville, TN; one sister-in-law Mildred Loy of Fairplay, KY; several nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Darrell Loy, Casey Loy, Marlton Loy, Timothy Wilson, Taylor Durst, and Samuel Durst. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
