Gladys Irene Stayton, 97, Taylor County, KY (1922-2019)

Gladys Irene Stayton, of Campbellsville, KY departed this life on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at the age of 97.

The funeral service will be conducted at 10amCT/11amET Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at Auberry - Gupton & Chandler Funeral Home with entombment to follow at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Bro. Evan Tedder officiating. Visitation is requested from 9-11am prior to the service.



She was born on July 15, 1922 to John Clinton Williams and Celia L. Osborne Williams in Gary, West Virginia, and professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville First Church of God. She was a homemaker and a devout wife to William.

She united in marriage to William Stayton April 3, 1947, who survives.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Drema Rafferty of Campbellsville; three sisters: Lois Carroll, Polly Morris and husband, Bobby and Doris Lewis all of Campbellsville; She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Debra Lynn Rafferty; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to Gideon Bibles.

Auberry - Gupton & Chandler Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
