LWC Men's basketball to host Brescia Wednesday

The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team hosts Brescia (KY) at 7pmCT on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY.

The Blue Raiders (3-0) return to Biggers Sports Center after traveling to compete in an exhibition game against the University of Iowa -- an NCAA DI institution - on Monday night. Lindsey Wilson fell 96-58 in the contest. Reece Brooks led the team offensively with 18 points while Payton Cundiff produced 15 points off of five made three's. Jordan Hamlette and Matthew Eldridge each snagged eight rebounds to lead all players.



Lindsey Wilson currently ranks second in the Mid-South Conference for scoring offense per game (99.0) and assists per game (21.67). Brooks leads the MSC averaging 19.3 points and sits third for assists per game averaging 5.33. Malik Hart ranks third averaging 9.33 rebounds per game. Hart also ranks fourth for steals per game (3.0) while Kel Stotts ranks fifth (2.67).

The Blue Raiders rank first in the NAIA in assist/turnover ratio posting 2.32. LWC ranks third for turnover margin (15.67), fourth in total steals (49), and fifth in steals per game (16.33). Lindsey Wilson ranks sixth in both scoring defense per game allowing 55.3 points and scoring margin with 43.7.

Brescia (1-3) returns to action after falling to Lawrence Tech (Mich.) 97-69 on Nov. 2. The Bearcats are led offensively by Tristan Murray who averages 12.8 points while three other players average more than 11 points. Brescia shoots 40.4 percent from the floor and 32.6 from behind the arc. The Bearcats average 35.5 rebounds per game, led by Kayode Daboiku's 8.8.

Wednesday's matchup marks the 48th meeting between the Blue Raiders and Bearcats. Lindsey Wilson leads the series 36-11 while claiming a 26-3 record in Biggers Sports Center.
