Mary Flodena Thurman, 77, Metcalfe County, KY (1942-2019)

Mary Flodena Thurman age 77 of Edmonton died Saturday November 2, 2019 in Louisville.

Funeral services will be 1pmCT Tuesday at the Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8pmCT and Tuesday from 9amCT until service.

Mary was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was the daughter of the late Ludy Fowler and Roxie Mae Harper Brown.

She is survived by seven children -

David (Karen) Thurman of Big Clifty, KY

Sandra (Merle) Roof of Big Clifty, KY

Sherry (Cosme) Soriano of Tompkinsville,

Teresa (Woody) Bennett of Edmonton,

Chris (Natasha) Phelps of Franklin,

Melissa Trent of Edmonton,

and Ashley (Chris) Robertson of Edmonton,

15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren,

three brothers - Linvell Brown of Summer Shade, Robert Brown of Marrowbone, Glenn "Shed" Brown of Dubree, one sister Janet Parke.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one brother Wendell Brown, two sisters Marie Brown and Melba Murley, two sisters in law Jane Brown and Nell Brown.
